Ways We Work
Culture of Calm helps organizations use sound intentionally to create opportunities for relief, presence, and human connection in high-stimulus environments.
Rather than relying solely on separate wellness activities, this work integrates calm directly into existing environments and schedules — supporting people as they arrive into a space, transition between moments, or settle within an intense environment.
In a world built for speed, noise, and constant stimulation, slower, simpler sound can offer something rare: a chance to exhale. In that moment, the nervous system softens, attention returns, and people reconnect — with themselves and with each other.
Calm, designed for real life.
-
A collective reset — integrated into the flow of the day.
Conferences and large events are exciting and also overwhelming for many: information overload, networking pressure, long days — and the reality that we don’t know what people are carrying when they arrive.
The same is true in many workplace settings, especially during town halls, offsites, team days, and high-stakes meetings.
These sound-based experiences are designed to meet people where they are — supporting nervous system regulation and reconnection — either through brief moments of calm or more immersive shared experiences.
What this can look like
5–15 minute Sound Resets integrated into an agenda (opening the day, mid-program reset, or transition moments)
Longer team experiences or workshops designed for offsites or team days, combining sound, reflection, and collective grounding
Wellness rooms or drop-in calm spaces with live soundscapes to support ongoing regulation throughout an event
Pre-recorded sound resources employees can access on demand throughout the day
Best for
Conferences • leadership offsites • workplace town halls • team days • large meetings • high-pressure events
Outcome
A calmer environment, clearer attention, and moments of shared presence that support connection and focus.
-
Sound-supported travel experiences — where people need it most.
Travel stress is more common than most people realize. Airports in particular can quietly push the nervous system into overdrive: unpredictability, noise, waiting, rushing, crowds, announcements.
Culture of Calm designs practical, soothing sound touchpoints that integrate into travel environments — offering moments of relief without disrupting movement, schedules, or operational flow.
What this can look like
Live ambient performances or pop-ups in terminals and public spaces
Calming soundscapes for lounges, waiting areas, or wellness zones
QR-linked audio resources for “Know Before You Go” communications and on-site signage
Signature sonic cues such as a gentle chime or tone used ahead of announcements
Best for
Airports • travel programs • transit hubs • public venues
Outcome
Small, intentional moments of calm that help people breathe, settle, and feel supported — right in the midst of movement and noise.
-
Trauma-informed sound experiences that support regulation and relief.
Some settings carry constant intensity — particularly spaces where people are navigating pain, uncertainty, high emotion, or chronic stress. In contexts such as health care and correctional facilities, the nervous system is often under sustained load due to the complexity and demands of the environment.
All work in these contexts is developed in conversation with staff, operational realities, and institutional constraints.
This work brings sound in as a grounding, stabilizing resource, delivered with care, professionalism, and deep respect for context. Sound may be experienced live, facilitated, or intentionally integrated into the environment to gently support nervous system regulation over time.
What this can look like
Facilitated sound-based sessions designed to support regulation, mindfulness and decompression
Calming background sound in designated rooms or areas (such as soundscapes, gentle frequencies, or nature-inspired sound) to support ongoing regulation
Staff-facing education on how sound can support nervous system states and reduce sensory overload in care environments
Best for
Correctional facilities • hospitals • clinics • fertility settings • rehabilitation environments • other high-stress care contexts
Outcome
A structured, supportive sound environment that helps people access calm, presence, and relief.

Our Approach to Sound
Intentional simplicity.
Slower tempos, fewer layers, and restrained dynamics are used to reduce sensory load and support nervous system settling.
Nature-inspired by design.
Our sound work draws from biophilic principles — using nature-inspired textures, organic rhythms, and spacious soundscapes to support regulation and ease.
Grounded in science and lived experience.
Our approach is informed by sound therapy practices, nervous system science, and research on stress and regulation — shaped by real-world application and lived experience in high-stimulus environments.
